Substance Abuse Recovery Residential Program
The AA/NA Step Program
"The 12-Step Program"

Born Anew expects you to get involved in the 12-step Program.

By getting involved in the 12-step programs of alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous you will form a strong foundation of recovery. AA/NA have helped many people find recovery from the disease of alcohol and drug addiction. It is in the rooms of AA and NA that you will become familiar with the recovery process and practice the skills you will need to ensure your own long term sobriety.

The 12-step program suggests that you keep an open mind to the program. Many of us have tried to keep sober on our own, but have failed. Together we have a chance, but it requires us to be honest and to be willing to have an open mind. YOU are responsible for your own recovery.

You will have a good program by doing these things.

MEETINGS:

When you come into Born Anew's recovery program you are required to go to 12-step meetings. When you get to the meeting find the seat in the front. Sitting in the front will allow you to hear the person who might turn out to be your SPONSOR. Stay in the meeting and try to keep an open mind. The minute you leave the meeting before it's over, your could be SPONSOR, may speak.

SPONSOR:

It is a requirement that every person must have a sponsor to grow in our program. He is someone who has worked the steps and has put together some time in recovery. It is up to you to choose your sponsor and we suggest it be a male. Find someone that you feel comfortable with and make sure you really respect what he stands for in the program. After getting your sponsor you MUST keep in contact with him. This means call him every night to " CHECK IN ". As soon as you get a sponsor you will start noticing a big change in your life. Isn't that why YOU came here to Born Anew Corporation ?

HOME GROUP:

The home group is a meeting that you choose to go to each week. By doing this you get to know a bunch of people that you will be able to use as a support system. That is something that you will need when you leave Born Anew. It is important that you get involved with your home group.

The 12-step program is a program of ACTION so start getting involved with helping another alcoholic/drug addict. That's called "12-step WORK".
